Netflix has released a new official trailer for the upcoming Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2, teasing the final clash between Richter Belmont and the vampire overlord Erzsebet Báthory. The second season will debut on Netflix on January 16, 2025 and include eight episodes.
Sam and Adam Deats are directing the series once again, with Project 51 Productions and Powerhouse Animation once again in charge of the animation production. Clive Bradley and Kevin Kolde are the showrunners and executive producers for the series. Fred Seibert and Adi Shankar are also credited as executive producers, along with the Deats brothers, Bradley, Kolde, and Seibert.
The first season of Castlevania Nocturne was released on September 28, 2023 for eight total episodes. The show is set 300 years after the previous Castlevania series, which ran for four seasons between 2017 and 2021. It was produced by Frederator Studios, with Powerhouse Animation as the animation production company.
The Castlevania animated series is inspired by the Konami series of video games, which began with the 1986 action-platformer Castlevania. Nocturne’s protagonist, Richter Belmont, was introduced in 1993’s Castlevania: Rondo of Blood.
