Fushigi no Kuni de Alice to -Dive in Wonderland-, a P.A.WORKS-produced anime film inspired by Lewis Carroll‘s classic Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, will premiere in Japanese theaters on August 29 JST. A teaser trailer and super teaser visual have been released. Carroll’s 1865 book has inspired many adaptations in the past, including the 1951 Disney animated movie Alice in Wonderland.
Toshiya Shinohara (NagiAsu: A Lull in the Sea, The Aquatope on White Sand) is directing the movie, which sees modern day girl Rise (Nanoka Hara) encountering Maika Pugh‘s titular Alice. The script is written by Yuko Kakihara (Blue Box series composer).
