An action-heavy trailer has been released for Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 3’s “Counterattack Arc.” Watch Subaru and his allies go up against the Sin Archbishops, Eight-Arms Kurgan, and Theresia van Astra before the show returns on February 5.
The first arc of Re:ZERO Season 3 (the “Attack Arc”) premiered on October 2 JST with a 90-minute special. The first two seasons of the White Fox-produced anime premiered in 2016 and 2020, with the second season having a split-cour format. The show is based on the MF Bunko J light novel series written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shinichiro Otsuka,
The Re:ZERO light novel series began in 2014 and has 39 main volumes as of September 2024. The franchise also includes short story anthologies, side stories, manga, and video games. Re:ZERO was originally a Shousetsuka ni Narou web novel.
Synopsis:
Subaru Natsuki was just trying to get to the convenience store but wound up summoned to another world. He encounters the usual things–life-threatening situations, silver haired beauties, cat fairies–you know, normal stuff. All that would be bad enough, but he’s also gained the most inconvenient magical ability of all–time travel, but he’s got to die to use it. How do you repay someone who saved your life when all you can do is die?
