A new PV trailer has been released for the upcoming The Red Ranger Becomes an Adventurer in Another World TV anime series, which previews members of the superhero group Kizuna Five in a special program format. The anime will premiere on January 13, 2025.
Keiichiro Kawaguchi (Frame Arms Girl, Higurashi: When They Cry – GOU/SOTSU) is directing the anime, with Atsuhiro Tomioka (BEM 2019, Pocket Monsters: Mezase Pokémon Master series screenwriter) as series screenwriter, Shuji Maruyama (365 Days to the Wedding, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s) as main character designer and co-chief animation director, and Nobuhiro Suzumura (Miss Kuroitsu from the Monster Development Department legend and local hero producer) as henshin motion director. Satelight is in charge of the animation production.
Toshiharu Sugie (Sakugan main animator), Akihiro Taniguchi (Sakugan main animator), and Yukihiro Iwata (Saber Marionette R character designer) are credited as main action animators. The anime series is based on the manga by Koyoshi Nakayoshi, which has been serialized in Square Enix’s Monthly Shonen Gangan since October 12, 2020. Eight tankobon volumes have been released as of December 2024. Manga Up! releases the manga in English as a digital simulpub.
Synopsis:
Togo Asagaki was the Red Ranger in a heroic Ranger squad. During their final battle against an evil organization, he gave his life to guarantee their triumph. But fate had other plans, and he found himself reborn in an entirely different world. Embracing his new role as an adventurer, he transforms into Kizuna Red and continues his pursuit of justice, helping those in need.
