A new teaser visual has been released for the upcoming A Tale of the Secret Saint TV anime adaptation during a stage event at AnimeJapan 2025, highlighting the main red-headed heroine Fia Ruud. The main staff, animation studio, and release date for the anime have not yet been announced.
The anime is based on the fantasy light novel series, written by Touya and illustrated by chibi. It was first published under Earth Star Entertainment’s Earth Star Novel label on June 15, 2019 and has released 11 volumes as of March 2025. The light novels first began as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel on January 6, 2019.
The series also received a prequel titled A Tale of the Secret Saint ZERO and a 2019 manga adaptation by Mahito Aobe.
Synopsis:
Born into a long line of knights, Fia is determined to become a knight herself, just like all her siblings. But a brush with death awakens memories of her past life as a Saint–a woman who wields rare, powerful healing and protection magic–along with the ability to use that magic herself! The downside is that Fia also remembers her past life’s untimely death, and the danger she will be in if anyone finds out what she really is.
