A second new key visual has been revealed for the upcoming Apocalypse Hotel TV anime series, which features many of the main characters. The series will begin broadcasting in Japan on April 8, 2025. Saho Shirasu is voicing the anime’s main voice cast as Yachiyo. A spin-off manga series titled Apocalypse Hotel Pusupusu will begin serialization on Takeshobo’s Storia Dash website in April 2025, around the same month the TV anime debuts.
Kana Shundo (Luminous Witches and Princess Connect Re:Dive assistant director) is directing the anime series, with Shigeru Murakoshi (I Parry Everything and Dark Gathering series screenwriter and co-scriptwriter) and series screenwriter and scriptwriter, Izumi Takemoto (creator of Apple Paradise and Aoi-chan Panic!) as original character designer, Natsuki Yokoyama (Gymnastics Samurai co-sub character designer) as character designer, Kohei Honda (Akiba Maid War) as background art director, Miyuki Sunako (Ahiru no Sora) as color designer, Masaharu Okazaki (86 EIGHTY-SIX) as composting director, and Yoshiaki Fujisawa (Land of the Lustrous) as music composer. CygamesPictures is in charge of the animation production.
The staff and cast of Apocalypse Hotel are expected to make an appearance at AnimeJapan 2025 at the Nippon TV x VAP booth on March 23, 2025. An advance screening of the first three episodes will take place on March 29, 2025 at United Cinema Toyosu.
The main story is set in a solitary hotel on Earth, where mankind has disappeared and civilization has collapsed. In its place, nature has begun to reclaim most of the land.
