The upcoming Kamitsubaki City Under Construction TV anime has received a main trailer, which previews more of the show along with a “true” version” of the song “The Witches” by V.W.P (-Virtual Witch Phenomenon-).
Also revealed were its July 3 premiere, a key visual, a theatrical preview subtitled Majo no Musume –Witchling- that will screen for two weeks starting on June 13 JST, and more cast members. The additional voices include Ayane Sakura as Laplace, Miyu Tomita as Hastur, Yohei Azakami as Agni, Yuichiro Umehara as Anemos, Mai Todo as Kugel, and Shizuka Ito as the reconstruction section chief.
Kamitsubaki City Under Construction is part of Kamitsubaki Studio‘s Kamitsubaki City Under Construction “IP project” that started in 2019. Accordng to the anime’s description, Kamitsubaki City is a science city that uses its cutting-edge technology to enact the miraculous reconstruction of a world that suffered a great, civilization-threatening disaster seven years ago. There are also creatures called Tesseractors that feast on human malice and desire, and the ones who can oppose them are five “Witchlings” and their singing voices.
The Kamitsubaki City Under Construction anime’s main cast consists of the members of V.W.P: KAF (as Kafu Morisaki), RIM (as Rime Tanioki), HARUSARUHI (as Haru Asanushi), ISEKAIJOUCHO (as Sekai Yorukawa), and KOKO (as Koko Rinne).
Kamitsubaki Studio describes itself as “a creative label and new-age artist management which produces cutting-edge internet culture with the next generation of creators” with the intent to “research and develop the future of IP and entertainment through the development of artists, original stories, future XR experiences, and metaverse development.” It has a music label, a story research and development division, a product development division, and a metaverse research and development division.
