The Kunon The Sorcerer Can See anime has received a teaser visual, which depicts the titular blindfolded sorcerer manipulating water. It was also announced that Saori Hayami is the voice of Kunon, while Maya Uchida is his attendant Iko.
Kunon the Sorcerer began as a Shousetsuka ni Narou web novel in 2021. A light novel series published under the KADOKAWA Books label and illustrated by Laruha followed in 2022. The Kunon the Sorcerer light novel series has seven volumes as of March 10, 2025 JST. There is a manga adaptation.
Synopsis:
Kunon Gurion was born without sight and unsure of his purpose in life, but everything changes when he resolves to find a way to use magic to see. This is a feat no sorcerer has ever accomplished or even tried, and it won’t be easy. Kunon’s single-minded ambition leads him to quickly surpass his teacher, and with only a few basic spells, he can already sense color, produce useful items, and create a lifelike cat from water!
