A new key visual, main trailer, theme song, and more cast have been revealed for the upcoming Mirage QUEEN vacances élégantes anime film. The film will begin screening in Japanese theaters on May 23, 2025. The trailer previews the film’s main theme song “Queen’s illusion” by anipani (Rinu feat. Vau & Tigusakun). Yamato, Kato, and Uchida are reprising their roles from the Mirage Queen Prefers Circus OVA.
The new director of Mirage QUEEN vacances élégantes is Shigetaka Ikeda (Future Card Buddyfight), who takes over from OVA director Saori Den. Some returning staff include Mariko Kunisawa (Ascendance of a Bookworm) as screenwriter and scriptwriter, Kumiko Kawashima (Assault Lily: Bouquet animation director) as character designer, Moe Hyuga (If My Favorite Pop Idol Made It to the Budokan, I Would Die) as music composer, and Toshiki Kameyama (Blue Miburo) as sound director. East Fish Studio is in charge of the animation production.
Kaoru Hayamine’s mystery adventure novel series has been published by Kodansha’s Aoitori Bunko children’s imprint since March 2002. K2 Shokai contributes illustrations for the novel series. Fifteen volumes have been published in Japan as of May 2020.
Synopsis:
They always steal the prey they aim for. That is Phantom Thief Queen. Gender, age, nationality unknown. Together with their partner Joker, RD, they travel around the world on the airship Troubadour. This time, the Queen is aiming for a cursed jewel, the legendary Rose of Linden. A hypnotist, an acrobat, a magician the talented circus members challenge the Queen! What is their purpose? In order to get back the jewel, the Queen stands up to the challenge in a bold and brilliant way (or disguise). Nothing is impossible for the Queen!
