The Record of Ragnarok anime is returning for a third season. A teaser trailer and teaser visual have been released for the sequel, which will be on Netflix like its predecessors.
Directing Record of Ragnarok III is Tokyo Revengers‘ Koichi Hatsumi. Other new staff credits include Yasuyuki Muto (Tokyo Revengers) as series composer and Yoko Tanabe (How I Attended an All-Guy’s Mixer) and Hisashi Kawashima (previous seasons’ co-sub-character designer, Pretty Rhythm: Aurora Dream) as character designers.
Additionally, the new season is a co-production between Yumeta Company and MARU Animation. Season 1 was produced by Graphinica, while Season 2 was produced by Graphinica and Yumeta Company. Yasuharu Takanashi is still the music composer.
Record of Ragnarok‘s first season premiered in 2021, while Record of Ragnarok II was released in 2023 in two parts. The anime is based on the Coamix-published manga by Shinya Umemura (writing), Ajichika (art), and Takumi Fukui (composition), which began in 2017 and has 23 tankoubon volumes as of November 2024.
Synopsis:
The valkyrie Brunhilde has convinced the gods to give humanity a chance at redemption through combat in the Valhalla arena.
